01:13Introduction
Texas is a national leader in educational reform designed to improve college and career readiness. From the adoption of the Texas College and Career Readiness Standards (TCCRS) to the passage of House Bill 5 (HB5), Texas initiatives are making the many pathways to college and career simpler, more intuitive, and easier to access, starting in the lower grades.
However, how do we know if our schools and districts are implementing these changes effectively? Graduation rates and college attendance statistics tell us part of the picture, but in order to design interventions that are targeted toward the needs of our specific student populations, educators need training on how to look holistically at multiple data indicators.
